IU’s supercomputing efforts are a foundation for research innovation, providing the computing power, the tools, the expertise, and the facilities as a foundation for novel research at Indiana. These tools, in an environment of collaboration supported at the highest levels of the university, provide the gateways for the insights that lead scholarship today and lay the groundwork for future advances. IU’s presence at the 2008 Supercomputing conference builds on the successes from last year’s conference, notably its bandwidth challenge victory and strong showing in the bandwidth challenge.

Building on ten years of strategic institutional investment in cyberinfrastructure and success in leveraging high performance computing to advance scholarship locally and nationally, Indiana University is poised for yet another chapter in scholarly leadership.

These are the tools that enable computing research experimentation and implementation, and which amplify the talents and visions of local and national researchers. IU's cyberinfrastructure combines world-class supercomputing systems, storage systems, networking, and visualization systems with proven professional training, consultation, and support.
