Percussionist, composer, and IUPUI professor of music Scott Deal will perform his telematic piece Coccoliths, accompanied by a visually rich environment created by students and faculty in fine arts at IU Bloomington that is controlled across the network.

Painter, digital artist, and IUB associate professor of fine arts Margaret Dolinsky will premiere her new installation where computational image analysis allows viewers to become part of the visual composition. Music from the IU Jacobs School of Music Early Music Institute will accompany this piece.

Electroacoustic composer and improviser Don Malone (a.k.a. LoneMonad) and technologist and visual mixologist Stephen Simms (a.k.a. vj.618) present a performance of live, interactive, heuristic musing, mixing and juxtaposing pre-existing musical and visual objects using software applications that they have developed using Cycling 74’s MAX/MSP/Jitter software package.
